iOS build farm · Dedicated physical Mac mini

Build iOS appson a
dedicated
cloud Mac

Not a VM. Each Apple Silicon Mac mini is a physical machine assigned to a single order, with dedicated CPU, unified memory, and SSD storage. Rent by the day. Standard orders are ready in about 15 minutes.

Sign in and keep using your existing build commands

$ xcodebuild archive -workspace App.xcworkspace \

Example of successful output

** ARCHIVE SUCCEEDED **

Run from your project root. Replace the workspace and scheme, and make sure project dependencies, signing certificates, and provisioning profiles are ready. Output shown is illustrative, not a record of an actual build.

Test with a representative project before choosing a rental term. Delivery details and live availability are shown in the console.

Illustrative sample-project data, not measured performance or a speed guarantee. Actual build times depend on project size, dependency cache, build settings, and signing steps.
For a fair comparison, keep conditions consistent.

Use the same commit, Xcode version, and Release configuration. Record cold- and warm-cache results separately, and exclude dependency downloads from archive timings.

What you can build

Four workloads, one dedicated Mac.
Rent by the day. Use it for the task at hand.

With macOS administrator access, keep using your own build scripts. Check tool versions, signing assets, and cache locations, then move your existing jobs to the cloud Mac—no need to redesign your pipeline just to change machines.

Automated builds

xcodebuild · fastlane · gym

Have your runner pick up commits and run archive, signing, export, and TestFlight upload in sequence. Keep failure logs and build artifacts in CI instead of clicking through each run in a remote desktop.

Validate signing and export with a single job first, then set a concurrency limit. Dedicated resources don't mean unlimited concurrency: choose how many archives to run at once based on your project's peak memory use.

Test on physical devices

devicectl · Xcode Devices

Physical nodes support USB peripherals and Xcode device debugging workflows. Connecting a device requires a physical connection; your nearby phone won't be automatically mapped to the remote machine. Confirm connection arrangements through a support ticket first.

After connecting a device, check that it's detected, then verify the OS version, signing setup, and test target. Simulator regression testing and testing on a physical device are separate workflows and can't replace each other.

xcrun devicectl list devices

Run multiple Xcode versions side by side

xcodes · simctl · version testing

Keep separate Xcode versions for production builds and compatibility testing. Use xcodes to check installed versions, and pin the developer directory with an environment variable in each build job so other tasks can't switch versions mid-pipeline.

Check Xcode and macOS compatibility requirements first. Simulator runtimes, DerivedData, and archives all use SSD space, so leave room for downloads and extraction before installing another version.

AI inference experiments

MLX · unified memory

Evaluate quantized models on the Host M4 Pro with 64GB of unified memory. Record model size, context length, and peak memory use before comparing throughput; don't just check whether the model file fits on disk.

Plan a week for an experiment, save your scripts, dependencies, and results, then end the rental. If you run inference alongside builds, allocate resources explicitly to keep inference jobs from consuming build memory.

Pricing

Three Mac plans, available by the day.

Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly prices are prepaid for the selected term; they aren't prorated daily rates. Choose a plan based on unified memory and SSD capacity, then pick a term that fits your workload.

Prices in USD. Each row is a dedicated physical Mac mini plan.

Start with Lite to test a single app or a lightweight pipeline. Consider Plus for multiple targets, parallel simulators, or Flutter projects; Pro is suited to large projects with concurrent archives, Unity exports, or larger model experiments. Additional SSD adds storage, not unified memory. Before upgrading, identify whether storage, memory, or build concurrency is the bottleneck.

Uptime commitment

A commitment you can measure.

Nodes are designed to run year-round, 365 days a year. The figures below describe our service commitment and claim process—not historical monitoring data, and not every failed build counts as node downtime.

Monthly uptime commitment per machine 99.9%

Based on service availability, not whether your app compiles successfully.

Downtime allowance
About 43 minutes per 30 days. This is the downtime equivalent of the uptime commitment, not a scheduled outage.
Service credit
Downtime beyond the allowance is compensated with an extension of service days based on the duration of impact. The terms of service define exclusions such as user actions and force majeure.
What to include
Within 7 days after the incident ends, submit a support ticket in the console with your order number, affected time period, connection symptoms, and relevant logs.

Built around your team's workflow

What a different machine can help with.

These role-based scenarios illustrate common workflow needs; they are not customer testimonials or performance guarantees.

“I want to move overnight builds off the old Mac in our office, so I can check the artifacts in the morning instead of finding someone to restart it.”
iOS lead · overnight builds
“I want the iOS part of our Flutter workflow in CI, with dependencies, signing, and artifact paths all traceable.”
Mobile architect · CI pipeline
“I want to rent a machine for a week of model experiments, save the results, then end the rental and track the experiment costs separately.”
ML engineer · short-term experiments

Questions?

Check these four things before ordering.

Confirm the machine type, delivery, CI setup, and billing terms. For order-specific help, submit a support ticket in the console. For pre-sales advice, email support@osxhost.com.

Is this a dedicated physical machine or a VM?

It's a dedicated physical machine. Each Mac mini is assigned to a single order, with CPU, unified memory, and SSD storage not shared between users. The full macOS desktop and command line are available. You remain responsible for your project dependencies, signing assets, and local data backups.

How soon can I connect, and what should I do first?

Standard orders are ready in about 15 minutes; check the console for progress and connection details. Once you have access, change the initial password, set up SSH keys, and check the disk and Xcode versions. SSH is ideal for automation, while macOS Screen Sharing is useful for initial GUI setup. See thegetting started guide.

Can I use GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins?

Yes. Use the machine as a self-hosted runner or agent. Register it with your CI system, then configure the working directory, job labels, and concurrency. Run a minimal build to verify dependencies and signing before migrating your production pipeline. Don't store private keys or certificate passwords directly in your repository.

How do I pay, and what should I do before the rental ends?

Pay in advance for a day, week, month, or quarter; all prices are in USD. We accept USDT-TRC20 and Visa / Mastercard / Amex (via Stripe). Available payment gateways are confirmed by the backend. Renewals follow the order terms shown in the console. Before your rental ends, export your project, certificates, and build artifacts—don't rely on the instance as your only backup. Data is securely erased after the rental ends.
